Under the direct supervision of the program LCSW and Clinical Director of Behavioral Health.
General Statement of Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral and psychosocial assessment of patients and families.
- Provide diagnosis of psychological distress of patients
- Provide psychotherapy to clients
- Conduct group sessions with families
- Maintain confidentiality around patient and family information.
- Maintain records in accordance with department and the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center Inc., policies.
- Maintain working knowledge of community resources/services.
- Implement the philosophy and mission of the program.
- Participate in our multi-disciplinary treatment care teams
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant issues that impact on patient care by participating in professional in-service training and staff development as assigned by the Program Director.
- Participate in department, continuous quality improvement efforts/projects.
- Provide culturally proficient behavioral health services.
- Document assessment, treatment plan, and interventions according to the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center Inc., and Departmental Guidelines and Standards, and other external bodies OMH, JCAHO.
- Attend and participate in, department staff, committee and other administrative meetings.
- Participate in regular supervisory case conferences.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Must have LMSW, LCSW Preferred
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field
- Driver’s License
